Longtime Auto Repair Shop Gets a New Owner

COLUMBUS, NJ, June 30, 2017 – The 4,698-square-foot building at 3023 Route 206 in Columbus was home to Houston’s Auto & Truck Repair for over three decades. The automotive shop recently passed on the torch to A1 Auto & Truck Repair who purchased the property.

Steven Marusky, CCIM, a real estate broker at Richardson Commercial, was the listing agent working on behalf of the seller, William “Bill” Houston, and Russ Cullen of Key Realty was the selling agent. The buyer, A1 Auto & Truck Repair, has been in business since 1984 and had been renting a shop in Hamilton before making the move to Columbus.

The large auto repair building sits on a .67-acre lot on the southbound side of Route 206 just south of Route 543 (Main Street) and has access from both directions. The property was turn key and ready for the right buyer.

“The location was ideal for A1 because it has high visibility on a four-lane highway,” said Marusky. “We think they’ll be extremely happy with the property for years to come.”
